amah and had been so for nearly 10 years. My husband had

been chauffeur to the accused for several months in Shanghai

before coming to Hong Kong. We went to live in a house

The accused was the tenant of that floor. Accused paid my

wages. I knew him before I came to Hong Kong when I was

in Shanghai. We lived at No.79 for about 7 months when

we moved to 1st floor 50 Village Road: accused was tenant.

He lived thereafter and he paid my wages. My husband, Mias

Lai and her mother moved over. bessie Au had already left.

I knew a sister of Bessie Au næmed Anɑie Au. She came down

10th moọn lɛat year (Dec. 1931). She also stayed with us.
